Sir Derek has been a patron of LOST for the past 20 years.

Matthew works as a theatre director and workshop facilitator in the UK and in Africa. He is currently on the staff as a drama lecturer at St. Mary's University College in their Theatre for Development & Physical Theatre programmes along with being a visiting tutor on the Devised Production Course at Goldsmiths College.
He is also the internal moderator and workshop facilitator for the organization, Theatre for a Change, Ghana. This April, Matthew will be in Malawi to carry on the work that he does with Theatre for a Change in training teachers and youth workers to use Interactive Theatre as a child centred tool for HIV prevention and advocacy.
His latest directing work includes 'Random Acts' at the Tabard Theatre and 'The Visitors' workshopping at Central School of Speech and Drama. Matthew is a graduate of the Goldsmiths College Masters in Theatre Directing programme and is the artistic director of the Common Air Theatre Company.
