25th Annual One Act Festival

Content

If your entry is accepted by the Festival Artistic Committee, you will be offered the following:

•An evening performance slot at the New End Theatre within the time period given (see schedule), which will include 10 minutes get-in, the performance period as detailed in your entry form plus 5 minutes get-out. The slot allocated will be final so please ensure full availability within the performance period.

•A Technical/Dress rehearsal on the day of your performance. This will be daytime and as with the performance slot allocation is non negotiable. Please ensure all cast are available and that everything required for your performance is available. This will be your only opportunity to rehearse the show in the venue prior to your performance.

•A Technical Operator and an overall Stage Manager will be present for your Technical/Dress rehearsal and performance. We do not allow outside technical staff.

•Full administration including Publicity, Box Office and Insurance

We do have a preference for proposals backed by a director or producer with the aptitude and motivation to cast and rehearse their own play. We do NOT provide rehearsal space or any production assistance. However, subject to demand, we will, where possible, help a director or writer assemble the necessary company to cast a production.

Venue

This year we are pleased to bring the One Act Festival to:

The New End Theatre

27 New End

Hampstead

London NW3 1JD

This year we are delighted to be taking the Festival to the New End Theatre. This lively fringe venue presents the best in new and issue–led writing; this includes musicals, comedy and classic revivals. It is an incredibly comfortable 84 seat venue, just a few minutes’ walk from Hampstead tube station.
