Info

LOST Theatre Company was proud to present its inaugural 5min Festival, showcasing the freshest new writing and directing talent to hit the London fringe. We live in an age when no-one has time. Average viewers spend 3 to 7 minutes on an internet video. Advertisers get whole stories into 30 seconds. Reduced Shakespeare squeezed the bards works into 70 minutes. Hamlet thought brevity the soul of wit, the Japanese that haiku was the highest form of art. LOST has selected thirty 5min plays to demonstrate just how much theatre can be made in 5min. The Festivals programme incorporated an exciting variety of genres and themes, and gave us a valuable insight into the next generation of British playwrights and directors. There was a judges panel in attendance at each performance who, after seeing all 30 performers, chose our festival winners. The festival winners will go on to have their pieces filmed professionally by the award winning team of Paul Kafno (Producer), Adrian Brown (Director), Steve Leigh (Editor) and Robert Ides (Production Manager).
